USB-C vertical receptacle with low profile

The USB4120 low profile vertical USB-C receptacle from GCT is a new addition to the Ionex USB range and gives developers greater choice and flexibility for board designs.

The vertical mount USB Type C has 16 pin configuration and USB 2.0 functionality with a 6.5mm profile on the PCB.

Four through-hole shell stakes and two PCB location posts provide the USB4120 with stability during PCB processing and retention strength at end usage. This makes the USB4120 suitable for thinner 0.8mm thick PCB designs.

The ionex range is intended to give designers the option to choose USB-C over other USB variants where price has previously been a barrier.
