Infineon AEC-Q100 qualified angle sensor at Rutronik

The sensor detects the alignment of a magnetic field by measuring sine and cosine voltages with monolithically integrated Giant Magneto Resistance (iGMR) elements. With the aid of an internal auto-calibration algorithm, it records the angular values with high precision over a wide temperature range and a long service life. For the 360° angle measurement he uses a rotation counter and the measurement of the angular velocity. The absolute angle value and other values are transmitted via SSC (Synchronous Serial Communication) or via the pulse width modulation protocol. The raw sine and cosine data can also be read out. They are digitally processed internally to determine the angular alignment of the magnetic field. The data transfer takes place via bidirectional, SPI-compatible SSC.

The TLE5012BD is pre-calibrated, the calibration parameters are stored in laser fuses. At startup, the fuse values are written to bistable toggle circuits, where they can be changed according to the application.

With diagnostic functions and status information, the TLE5012BD supports the Safety Integrity Level (SIL) and ensures safe operation.
